About

Bio Consulted by A-LabInsider performs analytics of Life Science academic laboratories and their research content.

The company aggregates information on Life Science research laboratories to assist scientists with finding partners for grant proposals, getting an overview of research in competitor laboratories, search and comparison of laboratories as potential future employers, getting involved into upcoming grants and events organized by top  Pharmaceutical companies, and being eligible for more innovative lab devices and reagents from Biotechnology companies to speed up scientific discoveries. The company offers services to research institutes, Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology companies.

As a team of passionate entrepreneurs, we have the vision to transform academic Life Science research and open more perspectives in its content to everyone interested.  When providing our services, we use the proprietary information and algorithms to overview and analyze research in academic Life Science laboratories.

Our vision

Information about Life Science labs and their research should be available to everyone.

Our mission

To map out all academic Life Science labs worldwide and analyze their research content to make these data available for commercial and educational purposes.

Our story

While doing a PhD in Biology the founder was considering the transitioning to consulting or a postdoctoral career at the laboratory of systematic identification of cancer targets. She admired top consulting firms and top academic research. In both cases, the approaches to solve problems are systematic. In consulting, to advise the client, the firm had studied what moves had worked for others in the same industry as well as across industries, thus providing navigation in decisions. Like a playbook: if you stand in X quadrant and want to move to Y quadrant you should undertake Z actions. In cancer, to identify new targets you should also screen all potential targets to find the right one for your context. These principles  led to an idea to organize world information on Life Science laboratories and their research content to overview the market of academic laboratories, learn best practices from peers and implement them to any project to turn it around for the good.

FAQs

We want to simplify search for labs and their research to make the data available to anyone interested without a need of calling data scientists to extract insights.

Our methodological approach saves search time and has more market coverage. Currently, everyone works with publications. Data scientists extract information from relevant publications and map authors to potential clusters of labs.  The data are often get transferred to TIBCO, Tableau or other business intelligence (BI) tools, and from there the insights are spread to other managers in an information chain. We want to cut a 3-step process (data scientists -> BI -> interested party) down to one – provide immediate insights to an interested party.

We remove the workload from data scientists by giving direct access to all available labs worldwide and tracking their research content to extract the insights. We have a complete overview of the market, and for the first time, generate information about research in labs at a glance.

We focus only on academic Life Science labs.  The other companies include labs in Chemistry, Physics, Material Science, Computer Science,  etc., and therefore have higher numbers of total labs. We focus ONLY on Life Science. As a lab, we count an entity of group leader with his research and employees. We do not count the number of employees at each lab. Only labs as separate entities.

Intelligence platform, that performs analysis of academic Life Science labs and their research. The platform will have several solutions, incl. app for sales reps which notifies about labs that become eligible for company’s products;  research analytics platform; edtech app for students and postdocs to learn best practices in any topic and help them guide their projects; AI platform that monitors molecules and trends in research worldwide.

Data consultancy (search for partners) or market reports  about labs and their research.

We test available data with top Pharma and Biotechnology companies to prove whether this solution indeed saves the time of data scientists and has bigger market coverage.
